Mrs. Amy Coleman

I am the school counselor at West Hartsville Elementary. I graduated from Coker College with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology Counseling and received my Masters of Education in School Counseling from Liberty University and a SC Certification in Elementary and Secondary School Counseling. Students know me best as Mrs. Coleman.

I have a wonderful husband; we have three amazing children and one precious granddaughter. I enjoy exercising, riding four-wheelers, fishing, and most importantly spending time with family and helping others.

After 16 years of experience in the public education system, I have gained many useful skills. The majority of these years I have worked with elementary and middle school age students, where I developed my passion for school counseling.

As your school counselor, I find great pleasure in the role of promoting a positive school culture and assisting students in academic, career, and personal/social needs. I spend most of my time providing classroom guidance, running small groups, and providing information and resources to students and parents on a variety of issues. This school year I want to encourage all students to reach their fullest potential. I am looking forward to working with students, families, teachers, staff, and other stakeholders in assisting our students as they continue to be #WESTSTRONG.

I am looking forward to working with everyone here at WHE and the community. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. I can be reached via email at or call 843.857.3309. I am excited about providing optimal guidance and counseling for you and your family.
