Welcome Title

West Hartsville Elementary School is located at 214 Clyde Road in Hartsville, SC.  Our
school history starts in the early 1800’s and continues on today.  We serve approximately 200, fourth and fifth grade students.  We have a state of the art Science Lab and a Compass Computer Lab.  West Hartsville is a TAP School (Teacher Advancement Program).  This means our teachers work closely together  in learning new classroom strategies. This allows our students to learn new material more effectively.  West Hartsville is also a Comer school. This program enables educators, parents and families, and community partners to support development, integrate learning, and as a result, improve academic and behavioral outcomes. Using the six Comer pathways we teach students how to develop their whole self. These pathways are Cognitive, Physical, Social, Psycological, Language, and Ethical. Please feel free to visit our school and see for yourself the great things that are happening at West Hartsville Elementary.
